LED UV Curing Systems

UV curing refers to the unique way in which coatings, inks and adhesives are dried using “energy” from UV light sources rather than using heat or evaporation.
Phoseon Technology pioneered the use of LED technology for UV curing in commercial and industrial applications. UV curing dries inks, coatings, adhesives and other UV sensitive materials through polymerization instead of evaporation. LED curing technology uses semiconductor-based Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to project ultraviolet (UV) light when an electric current is passed through the junction. These solid-state devices provide instant on-off ability with no warm-up time or mechanical shutters.

The FireFlex is designed as a scalable high power water cooled UV LED curing lamp aimed primarily at high performance/high speed single pass UV inkjet applications but with uses in a wide variety of web/conveyor based UV curing applications. The FireFlex architecture is designed to allow the systems to be scalable in 75mm increments to as much as 2m in length with a variety of peak irradiance and total UV power specifications based on customer and application needs.
